The NSW Highlanders Pipe Band will, again, travel to Scotland in August 2014 to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships. We take great pleasure in inviting interested people to be a part of our support crew and enjoy a trip to Scotland with the band.

12-day/11-night trip for 2014 (700th anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn, Robert the Bruce pictured right) offers members a good variety of Scottish sites and activities.

  • 2-nights in Pitlochry to take in the Vale of Athol Pipe Band's "Highland Night" and beautiful scenery in & around Pitlochry, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands.

  • 2-nights in Fort William where you can catch the steam train to Mallaig (Harry Potter train) and take the chair-lift up Ben Nevis (Britains highest mountain)

  • 4-nights in Stirling with day trips including a day trip to Glasgow for the World Pipe Band Championships.

  • 3-nights in Edinburgh for the festival and Tattoo

The NSW Highlanders is not a travel company therefore Scotland trips may only be arranged for band purposes. Band members, both playing and support crew, arrange their trip as a collective group. Anyone interested in taking part in the trips can, simply, apply for membership to be a part of our World Championships support crew.
